Whether climbing over rocks in
Arizona with her cousins, tramping over the hills of Ireland or counting little
heads in a classroom, Liz's passion is writing. She has loved to write since she
was a little girl. However, Liz’s audience was English teachers and college professors.
During summer vacation 1998, the Holy Spirit started prodding her to write for the
Lord. She really was speechless when all her friends and family supported her
efforts and praised her because it was... GOOD.
Although Liz has since moved on to other projects,
The Christian Woman's Page got its start because of the mass of articles
Liz penned that first summer. Granted they've been written and re-written and trashed
and written over again, but she keeps writing.
A quiet, yet happy girl from a little town in Southern New Jersey, Liz attended
Catholic school. She grew through all the ups and downs of having two handsome younger
brothers, one of which was born with SpinaBifida. She came to a saving faith in
Jesus Christ as a 12 year old faced with a personal heartache.
Liz matured slowly in Christ until college. She was then introduced to an awesome
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship group that helped her grow spiritually in ways
she had never dreamed of. During that same time, Jesus started calling Liz to give
Him her heartache, and she did. That started her on the next leg of her spiritual
growth.
After graduating from college with a teaching degree, Liz left with a sense of emptiness
from the lack of fellowship with other believers in such an Eden-like setting. This
started several years of serious fellowship famine from other Christian singles.
Upon graduating and shortly thereafter, a lot of her IV friends were getting married
and starting families. Liz was not.
God chose to bless Liz in a different way. He gave her students, travel and a burden
to come to grips with the fact that Christian Singles don't have a disease. They
are children of the Father, they are just not married. No less loved, just not married.
No less gifted, just not married. That said, Prince Charming has finally found her.
Liz is happily set to marry the man of her dreams in April 2008.
When Liz doesn't have pen or computer keyboard in hand, you can find her with friends-perhaps
planning her next travel adventure, digging up rocks or daintily working on her
newest quilting project. She also loves collecting antique hats, listening to Christian
music and gardening ~ Gerbera daisies are one her favorite flowers. Her interests
are as diverse as the Creator who made her.
You can find Liz blogging to remind us that
Hope, Glory and Wonder Abound.
